1. After 16 years as a Washington County Commissioner, 12 of those as President, Greg Snook is leaving office. On November 9th, County Commissioners past and present, County staff, Greg's Family and other well-wishers gathered to commemorate his leadership and service. Comments from Economic Development Commission Executive Director Tim Troxell, Julianna Albowicz, Western Maryland representative for Senator Barbara Mikulski, and Washington County Free Library Director Mary Baykan about Greg's work as a Commissioner.
2. What's Velocity Hall? Permits and Inspections Deputy Director Angela Smith talks about the County's new On-Line permit application and tracking service.

October #2 It has been one year since John Latimer, IV assumed the post of Director of the Washington County Division of Fire and Emergency Services. During that time a number of changes to the Division have occurred, along with changes in how Washington County government interacts with the Volunteer Fire and Emergency Service companies. A study of funding needs and methods is underway; will a fee for service structure for Fire and Emergency Services be necessary? Planning is a constant process, Latimer says, and explains the process for receiving federal and state assistance in time of disaster.

Washington County Agricultural Land Preservation Specialist Eric Seifarth talks about several programs that provide easement payments for farmers in order to preserve farmland from development. Easement values and Fair Market sale prices for farmland tripled over the past 4 years, with easement values near $8,000 per acre in Fiscal Year 2006. A Transfer of Development Rights (TDR) program is also discussed.
Now that the Primary Election is over, questions about voter eligibility for the November General Election are answered by Election Board Office Director Dorothy Kaetzel.

Charles Mades has been elected to five terms as Sheriff of Washington County. Charley says it's time to retire and let someone younger take on the top law enforcement role. He talks about changes in the Sheriff's Department over the last 20 years, and challenges the incoming Sheriff will have to face.
This year's distribution by the Gaming Commission amounts to $2,884,489.46. Norman Bassett reports on where the money goes.

Summer Recreation Programs were a great success this year., Recreation Manager Jaime Dick talks about the programs and upcoming offerings at "rec".
